Activities

Here are just a few activities that the Lloyd Wilson Chapter is involved in – and as always please become an active member! We can use your help in achieving our goals and assisting in chapter activities – see you soon!

Every year usually in the month of March the Lloyd Wilson Chapter conducts a weekly fly tying class. Classes are about 90 minutes long and are open to all ages and skill level. We are fortunate to have different instructors each week demonstrating different fly patterns. The classes are held at the Citizen Hose Co. in Lock Haven. Please checkout the Lloyd Wilson 2014 Calendar for dates and times.

Work Project
One of the projects performed by the chapter is litter pick up along a stretch of Fishing Creek known as the “Narrows.” As the sign would indicate this represents the chapters “long term” commitment to a waterway.

Every year for a number of years now – the Lloyd Wilson Chapter has instructed over 300 individuals annually both in fly tying and casting demonstrations. The chapter’s involvements with such agencies and organizations like Clinton County Conservation District; US Fish and Wildlife Service; and Jersey Shore Area School District (just to name a few) enables us to connect with people of all ages – thus allowing us to share our love for fishing, and conservation.
